    Droppin definitely is kind of cool and a little different tool from the others in the category like Videopeel etc. I think we all know that getting people to make video reviews is basically very very hard, lets’ be honest, a lot will never get a video review from a client even when trying. Someone really has to LOVE a product/service a lot, to just make a video review for you. So could take years to collect just 5 video reviews.

    But also, video reviews are really really powerful, to create trust in your product and brand. Because with video reviews (At least until AI video gets even better), they are more trustworthy compared to text reviews that are easy to fake. So I think for many, even though it’s a little bit of a gamble, could be worth to give it a try, I mean tier one for 39, doesn’t look to bad. I really doubt many people will hit the “video a month” limit.

    And back to my point I started out with. So what makes droppin a little different, is the option to give discounts for reviews, so people actually get something from their effort. But off course you could risk people making some very minimal videos, just to get the discount. So nice to see they have an approve/reject system!

    So yeah, it could be something ending up on the shelf for a lot of people or actually never really get used by customers. But on the other hand, also wouldn’t hurt to set it up on your site, and if someone makes a review, great! If not, it’s not really the end of the world, so I think it’s worth a try, especially with the reward part.

    + PROS: - You can put in your site right away, and just let it do its thing - Easy embed - Reward program is something refreshing - Fairly cheap tier 1, and not many will go over the limit of 30 videos/month
    - CONS: - Honestly getting video reviews is not easy, unless your costumers really love your brand - People really dont like getting on camera, lets be honest

    I’ve tried Dropppin under a free plan and it left me really impressed.

    As humans, we tend to believe what everyday people like themselves say over what any founder has to say, and that’s where Dropppin comes in to help businesses stand out in a sea of sameness.

    - CONS: Not really a con but if you're the type who wants things done in a snap, then you might want to learn some patience before you opt for Dropppin.

    Selling products or services online is tough because there is so much competition. The question quickly becomes, “How do you stand out?”. As a consumer the first thing I do is look out for ratings. Text ratings are fine but not very engaging. Many times I turn to sites like YouTube or Social Media to look for real videos of humans talking about the product or service. This tool enables that in a much more direct and engaging way where the service provider can encourage customers to generate review videos right on the site. Brilliant! The embed option for the videos is easy and looks great too.
